I started Christmas preparations over the weekend - the first present is bought, I've started work on the main tree (I have to paint some baubles, don't ask!), and the first batch of cookie dough is awaiting in the freezer.
Of course, there's still the turkey to buy, the pies to make, actually getting both trees up and decorated.....and did I mention that I was meant to buy 4 other present on the weekend? Yeah.
So, in my frustration I have hit the internet. Both of us at Quill and Me have a bit of a fascination for stocking stuffers - you know, those little gifts that you can put in people's stockings, use to make up a hamper or gift pack, or even give as a secret Santa gift. Here's a selection of things I found just by searching for "stocking stuffer":
We've mentioned that we like books, right?
I cannot get over how cute this is! It makes me want to take up button collecting just so I can wear it.
We're longtime recyclers in my family and I think I've managed to convert one of my young cousins. This badge would be a great gift for the budding environmentalist.
Speaking of young cousins....or maybe their parents! I imagine these would be welcome for car rides and waiting rooms. These come with crayons and paper included so they can start scribbling straight away!
Seriously, how cute are these guys! You can get them in a whole bunch of different yummy-sounding scents like gingerbread, cookies and cream and malted milk.
I saw something similar to this in a little store in Stockbridge once and I fell in love with them. I don't carry around a makeup compact and these would be far better than using your sunglasses! This store has a huge variety so you are sure to find something to suit.
And with that, I am off to complete my Christmas shopping!
later,
Quill

Ain't No Stopping Me Now!
Finally and I do mean, finally, I've succeeded in uploading a vid from YouTube. Really, guys, I've been working on this for a what feels like forever (stop laughing, Quill), so, without further ado here is the fabulous JK Wedding Entrance Dance. I know it's old news, now, but I still love it!
Enjoy,

Three Distractions On My Desk
Hey guys,
Here's November’s installment of Three Distractions On My Desk.
1 – Ranger's Apprentice Book 6: The Siege Of Macindaw by John Flanagan.
2 – Empire Magazine.
3 – A piece of jigsaw.
Btw before signing off I’d like to add something:
1 – I’m so not the target age group for this series, however, I love following the exciting adventures of Ranger Halt, his apprentice Will and his best friend Horace.
2 – Gotta love those movies!
3 – Seriously, who knows?
Hope all is good.
Me.
